James Thomas Staulcup, 83, died peacefully in his sleep at home on Friday, October 31, 2014, in North Webster, IN.  He was born on May 8, 1931 in Martin, TN to William Clifford Staulcup and Mamie Jolly.  He was preceded by his two brothers, Robert and Ralph, as well as one sister Helen.  He was a decorated veteran who served in the USMC from 1948-1959.  He attended Illinois Institute of Technology graduating with degrees in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering followed by an MBA from the University of Chicago.  He went on to become a successful business executive and consultant.  He was a loving father and married JoAnn Smith on January 29, 1966.  They were married for 29 years and had two children which he is survived by, Susan and Matthew.  He was a social, active man who deeply enjoyed playing golf throughout his life and into retirement.  His family and friends will always remember him as a good friend, devoted father and kind person.  A memorial service will be held to honor him on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at 6 pm at the Eastlund Funeral Home in Syracuse.  Calling will be one hour prior to the service.  The family would like to thank Syracuse Family Practice and the Pinnick family for their continued support.
