Robert “Bob” Miller, 59, Syracuse, left us to be with the Lord at 5:35 pm, September 24, 2016.  He passed away at his residence surrounded by his loving family, after a hard and courageous battle with cancer.  He had suffered with pain due to health issues the last several years of his life, and can now rest in peace.

He was born on September 11, 1957 in Muncie, Indiana to Robert and Sonja Miller.

In 1967, he moved with his family to the Wawasee/Tippecanoe Lake area, where he resided the remainder of his life.  He graduated in 1975 from Wawasee High School.  After graduation, he started working on the production line for Commodore Homes in Syracuse.  Due to his hard work and dedication, he was promoted to a Sales position at Commodore.  He had the gift-of-gab, which made him a natural for any sales position.  Over his lifetime he worked as a Salesman for Commodore Homes, Redman Homes, Champion Homes, Fortune Homes and Skyline Homes.  He was known throughout the manufactured housing industry for his knowledge and expertise in the business.  Anyone in the industry knew if they had a question or issue, Bob was the guy to call.

In addition to his great love for his family, especially his son Nathan, he loved life to the fullest.  He loved people, golfing and socializing at Tippecanoe Lake Country Club, and traveling (especially with his son).  He was always adventurous and always willing to try anything new and exciting.  He was such a vibrant person and will be greatly missed by everyone for his laughter, jokes, personality and kind heart.

Surviving are his son Nathan Miller (and wife Amie), his sister Rhonda Bickel (and husband Garry), his sister Michelle Miller, his sister Heather Bonewitz, his nephew Jordan Currie and niece Jaden Bonewitz.   He was preceded in death by both of his parents Robert and Sonja Miller, and his nephew Joshua Knisley.

Services will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 1 PM with calling 2 hours prior from 11-1.
