Shirley Haggenjos, 82, of Syracuse, passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at her home.  Shirley was born in Dayton, Ohio on October 6, 1934 to Ralph and Lacy (Rogers) Argabright.  She was married on June 19, 1954 to Thomas J. Haggenjos who passed away on April 16, 2006.  Shirley moved from South Bend in 1994, and resided in Syracuse until her death.  She was employed by Menno Travel in Goshen, IN, and was also a teacher at Holy Family in South Bend.  She was a member of St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Syracuse .  She was very active in supporting the Knights of Columbus, Cursillo, in South Bend and Syracuse.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She also loved to travel and spend time with her friends.  She was an avid Notre Dame Fighting Irish fan.  She is survived by her children – Colleen (Chuck) Nyers of South Bend, Dr. Mark (Donna) Haggenjos of Portland, IN, Barbara (Terry) Booher of Fishers, IN and Kevin (Rita) Haggenjos of Osceloa, IN.  10 grandchildren – Tony (Jen) Hudson, Charlie Nyers, Kevin (Christine) Hudson, Heather (Curtis) Stein, Leslie Booher, Dr. Lee (Stephanie) Haggenjos, Lauren Haggenjos, Liza Haggenjos, Kari Haggenjos, and Kyle Haggenjos.  10 great-grandchildren – Harrison Hudson, Thomas Hudson, Ryland Booher, Joshua Hudson, Hayes Hudson, Forrest Stein, Brayden Rose, Aerion Stein, River Stein, Grayson Nyers, and Matthew Hudson. The family wishes to thank everyone at Goshen Hospice for the care they provided.  Visitation will be Wednesday, August 30, 2017 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Eastlund funeral home with a Rosary service at 7:30.  A Mass will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at 11:30 AM, with a half hour of visitation from 11:00 – 11:30 at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church with Father Andrew Nazareth officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made to: St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, Cursillo of South Bend-Syracuse, or to Goshen Hospice.
