Albert “Junior” Hamman

Albert “Junior” Hamman, 87, of North Webster, IN passed away on November 8, 2011 at his residence.  He was born on March 31, 1924 in North Webster, IN to Albert & Ruth (Frush) Hamman.  On September 27, 1944 he married Beverly Gray who preceded him in 2008.  Junior was a lifelong area resident.  He retired as a Commercial Plumber & Steamfitter Union #166.  He belonged to the North Webster United Methodist Church.  A WWII US Navy veteran, he was also the past Commander of the North Webster American Legion Post 253 in which he belonged for over 62 years.  He is survived by his 3 daughters – Jacquelynn (Jerry) Smith of Leesburg,  Kathryn (Morton) Berry of Florence, Montana, and Robin Marie (Curt) Foster of San Diego, CA.  8 grandchildren – Lisa (Steve) Light, Shelly (Mark) Alber, Keith Smith, Jennifer (Rick) Reagan, Bryan (Kerri) Berry, Kim (Jason) Herndon, Mathew Foster & Jill Foster.  13 greatgrandchildren & 2 great-greatgrandchildren.  2 sisters in law – Barbara Coy Leedy & Estelle Hamman.  He was preceded by his wife, parents, & 2 brothers – Richard & Robert Hamman.  Friends may call Friday, November 11, 2011 from 2-4 & 6-8 at the Eastlund Funeral Home.  Services will be Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 11 AM at the funeral home with pastor David Smitley officiating.  Burial will follow at the North Webster Cemetery with full military honors.  Online condolences may be sent to: eastlundfuneralhome.com
