Bailey Reid Moore

Bailey Reid Moore, age 14 of Leesburg, passed late Thursday night, March 3rd in her family home. Vivacious from birth, Bailey had a thirst for life like none other. She was always on the run whether it be riding her bike outside, laying out by the pool, or playing soccer for the Warsaw Wave travel soccer team. Even as busy as her schedule was, Bailey always made time for homework and afterschool activities at Edgewood Middle School. After being diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in July of 2010, Bailey became a role model for newly diagnosed children with Leukemia. While at Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis, Bailey developed a close relationship with her doctor, Jodi Skiles and all of her special nurses. She showed great bravery and courage throughout her treatment right until the very end. Bailey is survived by her mother, Julia Moore, father, Mark Moore, sisters, Jaime Costilow and Taylor Moore, brother-in-law, Brandon Costilow, maternal grandmother, Mary Lu Hall, paternal grandfather, Herman Moore, family friend Doug Brovont, and faithful dogs, Lucy and Sprite a.k.a. Beagle. Calling hours will be Monday, March 7, 2011 from 2-5 PM at the Eastlund Funeral Home in Syracuse. A Memorial Service will take place at 5 PM with Pastor Eric Ohman officiating. Burial will be at the Oakwood Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to: Riley Childrens Cancer Care Hospital c/o Dr. Jodie Skiles or The Say Love Foundation.
