Betty Haines
Betty Haines, 98, of Warsaw, IN passed away on July 25, 2020 at Masons Health Care. She was born on January 14, 1922 in Syracuse, IN to Elmer & Berniece (Weimer) Baugher. She was a 1940 graduate of Syracuse High School. On August 17, 1945 she married Robert “Smokey” Haines who preceded her in 2008. She retired as a secretery for Wawasee High School. She was a longtime member of the North Webster United Methodist Church. She will be lovingly remembered for her wicked sense of humor, her piano playing abilities, her cooking, and above all her devotion to her family. Betty is survived by her son – Steven (Patti) Haines of Warsaw. 2 daughters – Cynthia (Chad) Beezley of Wilmot, and Mary Sue (Andy) Hartley of North Webster. 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grand, and 4 great-great grandchildren. Along with her husband, Betty was preceded by 2 brothers and 2 sisters. The family would like to thank the staff at Mason’s for their passion and loving care for Betty. Private family services will be held in Betty’s memory. Eastlund Funeral Home is handling her arrangements.
