Betty Lintz
Betty Lintz, 89, of Grace Village Retirement Community passed away on December 26, 2010 at Kosciusko Community Hospital. She was born on October 6, 1921 in Jones, Michigan to Clarence & Florabelle (East) Timm. On September 21, 1946 she married Joseph Lintz who preceded her in 1992. She graduated from Constantine High School in 1938 and went on to receive two years of vocal training at DePaul University in Chicago before being accepted by the Grand Rapids Michigan Civic Light Opera Association. She also performed with the Philadelphia Light Opera Association. Betty earned her Bachelor of Music degree and her Master of Arts degree from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan and taught vocal music in the Constantine Michigan School System until she retired in 1988. She was a member of the Porter Baptist Church in Jones, Michigan. She is survived by one son – Barry (Beverly) Lintz of Syracuse, IN. One grandson – Terry (Christine) Lintz of Boston, MA , one sister, Ruth Lovins Kammeraad of Lake Worth, FL. Four step grandchildren & fourteen step greatgrandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded by three sisters, Kathryn Ostrander, Mary Kaiser and Evelyn Schalge.
A graveside service will be held at Poe Cemetery in Jones, Michigan on Friday, December 31 at 10:00 AM.
