Claudean Powell
Claudean Powell, 96, of Pierceton, passed away on November 10, 2022. She was born on May 23, 1926 in Warren, Indiana to Vaughn & Anna Louise (Jacques) Martin. On June 30, 1943 she married Kenneth Powell who preceded her in 2002. She moved to Kuhn Lake in 1980 coming from Crete, Illinois. She was a homemaker, and worked for 10 years at the Crete High School cafeteria. She was formerly a member of The North Webster American Legion Post 253 Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by her 3 daughters – Patty (Tom) Downey of Clinton, IN, Diane (Roger Cormican) Bowman of Pierceton, and Nancy Griffin of Lowell, IN. 1 son – Terry Powell of Peotone, IL. 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 18 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded by 1 sister – Violet Davis. Services will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at 3 PM at the Eastlund Funeral Home. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the service from 1-3. Memorial contributions may be made to The North Webster American Legion Post 253, or the the North Webster EMS.
