Don Cowan
Don Cowan, 73, of Syracuse, IN passed away on September 4, 2019 at his home. He was born on June 4, 1946 in Louisville, KY to Cedric & Eva (LaShelle) Cowan. He was a Graduate of Hanover College. Don served in the US Marines during the Vietnam war. On December 27, 1967 he married Cassie Wells who survives. He owned Bearcat Corp. in Goshen, IN. Along with his wife, Cassie Cowan of Syracuse, Don is survived by his 2 sons – Jeff (Kari) Cowan of Syracuse, and Jack (Betsy) Cowan of Syracuse. 4 grandchildren – Jake, Sadie, Tate, and Davis. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2019 from 3-4:30 PM at Eastlund Funeral Home. At 4:30 there will be a Celebration of Don’s life officiated by Pastor Kent Butcher followed by Military Honors conducted by the Syracuse American Legion. Memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warriors or Kosciusko Cancer Care Fund. Casual attire per Don’s request.
