Dona Stucko
Dona Stucko, 98, formerly of Sawmill Lake, passed away on March 30, 2025 at Greystone Health & Rehab in Fort Wayne. She was born on October 26, 1926 in Wilmot, IN to Leonard & Verta (Chaney) Vanator. On September 3, 1961 she married Stanley B. “Stan” Stucko who preceded her in 2007. She was the co-founder of the Animal Welfare League. She was a member of the Tippecanoe Township Homemakers Club. She was a dog groomer for many years. She had a special love in her heart for all animals. She rehabilitated injured and sick animals her whole life and volunteered at the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo for a decade. She is survived by her 4 sons – Rob (Melissa) Stucko, Steve (Kathie) Stucko, Gary (Nancy) Hill, and Chuck (Jaira) Hill. 7 grandchildren – Lynn Ann, Nicholas, Todd, Randy, Brad, Sabrina, and Samuel. She will be laid to rest beside Stan privately at the North Webster Cemetery- Mock Addition.
