Donald Doehla
Donald John Doehla, 86, of Ft Wayne, IN passed away on September 16, 2016 at Life Care of Fort Wayne. He was born on December 20, 1929 in Ft Wayne, IN to George & Mary Doehla. He was a veteran of the US Army having served in the Korean War. On May 20, 1961 he married Loretta Held who preceded him in 2002. He moved to Knapp Lake in 1962 coming from Ft Wayne. He owned and operated D.J Construction. He was a longtime member of the North Webster American Legion Post #253. He is survived by his 2 daughters – Debra Stansbury and Karen Hale, both of Ft Wayne. His son George (Rachelle) Doehla of Bloomington. Daughter in law Sarah Doehla. 1 sister – Betty Mast of Avilla. 13 grandchildren, 20 greatgrandchildren. He was preceded by his son Brian Doehla, son in law Greg Stansbury and 2 sisters, Ruth Mast and Doris Reek. Services will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at 2 PM at the Eastlund Funeral Home. Visitation will be 2 hours prior from noon until 2. Burial will follow at the Syracuse cemetery with Military Honors performed by the North Webster American Legion. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rescue Mission of Ft Wayne or the Visiting Nurse Hospice Care of Ft Wayne.
