Emerson Stiner

Emerson Stiner, 93, of North Webster, IN passed away on May 13, 2013 at IU Health Goshen Hospital.  He was born on February 3, 1920 in Adams Hills, OH to Calvin & Nellie (Vickers) Stiner.  On September 17, 1955 he married Mary Van Curen who preceded him in 2007.  He was a North Webster resident since 1959 coming from Elkhart, IN.   Emerson owned and operated restaurant’s, and several laundromats over the years as well as being a truck driver.  He was a member of the Columbia City Moose Lodge, Country Bible Church in North Webster and a 1938 graduate of Conesville High School in Ohio.  He is survived by a half brother – William Smailes of Trinway, OH.  He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.  He was preceded by 2 brothers & 1 sister.  Services will be Thursday, May 16, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Eastlund Funeral Home with Pastor Myron Drent of the Country Bible Church officiating.  Calling will be 1 hour prior to the service on Thursday.  Burial will follow at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Pierceton.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Country Bible Church.
