Everardo R. Ganz

Everardo R. Ganz, 81 of Syracuse passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 in Elkhart General Hospital.  He was born August 3, 1930 in Chicago to Antonio and Clara (Giacchetti) Ganz.

On August 13, 1955 he married Billie Kerfin who survives.  Prior to moving to Syracuse he was a mason contractor with his father in Chicago.  In 1963 he came to Syracuse to assist his father-in-law in the family business, American Industries and National Products.  He was a graduate of Western Michigan University, where he was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity.

He was a US Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.  He was a former director of the Wawasee High School Building Trades for several years. Ev  was member of St. Martin De Porres Catholic Church and he helped found the Syracuse Jaycees.  He served on the Wawasee Flotilla committee for several years.  He was a member of the Tippecanoe Country Club.  He also served on the board of directors of the Lakeland Youth Center. 

He is survived by his wife, Billie, 2 sons, Dale (Benji) Ganz and David (Kelly) Ganz  and 4 Granddaughters, Ashley, Kendra, Alexa & Adriana.

One Sister preceded him in death.

Holy Mass will be held Saturday,  October 8 at 11:00 A.M. at St Martin De Porres Catholic Church in Syracuse.  Visitation will be after 10:00 AM the church. Burial will follow the service  in Syracuse Cemetery.

A luncheon celebrating Ev’s life  will be held at the Lake Tippecanoe Country Club immediately following the services.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
