Gail Lynn Searfoss

Gail Lynn Searfoss, 59, of Syracuse, IN passed away on January 6, 2012 at her residence after a 2 month illness from cancer. She was born on February 8, 1952 the daughter of Kenneth “LaMar” & Doris E. (Hall) Wagner. On October 19, 1974 she married John P. Searfoss who survives. Gail attended the New Paris Missionary Church from the day she was born. She served as the church treasurer for 4 years and was a Sunday School teacher for the 1st grade for many years. She was a prayer warrior as well. She was the CFO for Park Pharmacy from 1983-2000 when she transferred to the Syracuse Park Pharmacy where she retired in December of 2003. She also worked for Holdeman, Fulmer & Chiddister in Goshen from 1977-1983. Gail enjoyed camping in their RV & having friends and family to their home to enjoy their pool. She was an avid reader and a wonderful Aunt, sister, wife & mother. Heavens gain but our loss. She volunteered many hours with the Elkhart County 4-H Fair tractor pulls, with her brother Cork, as well as supporting 4-H. She was a 1971 graduate of the Indianapolis School of Business. She is survived by her husband – John P. Searfoss of Syracuse. 3 step children – Tina (Robert) Kocher of Syracuse, Tony Searfoss of Jacksonville, FL & Teresa (Dennis) Linville of Nappanee. 3 grandchildren & 2 greatgrandchildren. 1 brother – Cork (Jan) Wagner 3 sisters – Connie Swinehart, Rita (Obie) Overholser & Penny (Martin) Stroup. Visitation will be Monday, January 9, 2012 from 2-4 & 6-8 at the Eastlund Funeral Home. Services will be Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at 10 AM at the New Paris Missionary Church with pastor David Hackney officiating. There will also be 1 hour of visitation prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at the McClintic Cemetery.
