Jim Anderson

Jim Anderson, 91, of Leesburg, IN passed away on December 28, 2011 at the Kosciusko Community Hospital.  He was born on October 22, 1920 in Redkey, IN to Swede & Franc (Harrington) Anderson.  He married Marilyn McAtee in 1941, and she preceded him in 2003.  He was a WWII US Navy veteran.  Jim moved full time to Lake Tippecanoe 29 years ago coming from Hartford City.  He was a Ford Dealer with Swede Anderson Ford and a Sales Rep for the US Chamber of Commerce before retirement.  Jim was an avid golfer, and was a member of the Blackford Country Club.  An IU graduate, he was a member of the IU Hundred.  He was a Dunkirk Speedcat.  He was a 60 year Lake Tippecanoe resident where he enjoyed boating and more recently driving his golf cart visiting his lake friends.  He had a lifelong appreciation of great vocal musicians.  He was a member of the North Webster United Methodist Church and the North Webster American Legion.  He is survived by his daughter – Mrs. Chip (Beth) Winnebald of Leesburg, 1 son – Jim (Rori) Anderson of Westfield, IN.  6 grandchildren – Amy Callahan, Kelly Raish, Skip Winnebald, Libby, Jake & Taylor Larrison.  6 greatgrandchildren – Kaitlynn & Meghan Callahan, Hanna Beth & Christian Raish, Sevy Gorder, Carly Winnebald.  He was preceded by 1 sister & his wife.  Calling hours will be Friday, December 30, 2011 from 4-7 PM at the Eastlund Funeral Home.  Services will be Saturday, December 31, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the North Webster United Methodist Church with Pastor David Smitley officiating.  Burial will follow at the North Webster Mock Addition Cemetery with military honors.  Memorial contributions may be made to the North Webster United Methodist Church or the North Webster American Legion.  Online condolences may be sent to: eastlundfuneralhome.com
