James Ball

James E. Ball, 89, of Syracuse, IN passed away on December 1, 2011 at the Warsaw Meadows Care Center. He was born on October 14, 1921 in Oakville, IN to Cecil & Corale (Clark) Ball. On June 25, 1942 he married Opal Wilson who preceded him in 2003. He was a WWII US Army veteran having served in Panama. He was a 32nd degree Mason at the Sulfur Springs Lodge. He retired from Delaware Tool & Die in 1987, and was co-founder of Ball Rod and Kustom in Syracuse. He served as past president and board member of the Muncie Police & Fire Merit Board. He is survived by his son – Gary Ball of Syracuse. Granddaughter – Mrs. Jeff (Stephanie) Drumm of Lebanon, IN. Grandson – Michael (Amanda) Ball of Ft. Wayne. 2 greatgrandchildren. He was preceded by his wife and 1 son Michael. Calling hours will be Monday, December 5, 2011 from 12 noon until 2 PM at the Bethel United Baptist Church in Muncie, IN.
