Jerry Neibert, 79, of Syracuse, passed away on August 3, 2025 at Goshen Hospital.  He was born on October 2, 1945 in Elkhart, IN to Ray & Miriam (Geyer) Neibert.  On December 30, 1967, he married Nancy Hamsher who survives.  He proudly served our country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.  Jerry started his career in the marine industry as a Quality Engineer for Starcraft Goshen.  He also worked for OMC, and eventually retiring from Smokercraft/Starcraft.  He was a member of the Wawasee Community Bible Church.  Jerry loved old outboard motors and building wooden boats.  Several are on display at the North Webster public library.  He also enjoyed snowmobiling and ice fishing in the cold months and camping with the family.  Several trips to islands like Put-in-bay and beaches in Florida,  South Carolina and Maui were a treat.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 57 years, Nancy Neibert of Syracuse.  His son – Mark (Patricia) Neibert of Bronson, MI.  2 grandchildren – Chelsie Marie & Trey Jerrold Neibert.  1 brother – Pat (Rhonda) Neibert of Milford.  1 sister – Susan Wimmer of Syracuse.  Several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.  The family will have a private interment at Union Center Cemetery in Nappanee, IN.  A memorial service to honor Jerry’s life will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 3PM at Eastlund Funeral Home with calling 2 hours prior from 1-3.  Memorial Contributions may be made to Riley Children’s Hospital or The American Heart Association.
