Jerry Sanders
Jerry Sanders, 77, of Bourbon, passed away on January 17, 2024 in Syracuse, IN. He was born on July 25, 1946 in Ottumwa, Iowa to Wayne & Betty (Forney) Sanders. He was a Machinist by trade. He owned a gym, where he was a powerlifter/Instructor. His team broke 8 State records, earning 4 National, and 4 World records. He also participated in mud drags, where he had multiple 1st place, and a few 2nd place finishes. He is survived by his 3 daughters – Sheri (Billy) Bunch, Sheli (Doug) McNeely, and Shana (Micheal Gibson) Sanders. 6 Grandchildren – Britteny Siefert (Bunch), Dillon Bunch, Kyla Lynch (Hall), Connor Hall, Elizabeth McNeely, and Malayna McNeely. 7 Great-grandchildren. 1 brother – Vernon (Paulina) Sanders. 1 sister – Janice (Steve) Ussery. He was preceded by 1 sister – Karen Van Skike. There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date. Eastlund Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
