Julia “Red” Scarbeary-Byrd
Julia “Red” Scarbeary-Byrd, 100, of Syracuse, IN passed away on August 30, 2013 at Millers Merry Manor in Syracuse. She was born on July 25, 1913 to R. Ramey & Rosa (Davis) Whitaker. She married Bueford Scarbeary who preceded her, then years later married Jessie Byrd who also preceded her. She retired from the Dana Corporation in Syracuse. She attended the Strong Tower Worship Center in Ligonier. She is survived by her son – Bill Scarbeary of Columbia City. 2 daughters – Michele Morris of Libertyville, In & Arlene Kincaid of Goshen. 8 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren & 11 great-great-grandchildren. 1 sister – Monnie Lee of Goshen. She was preceded by 1 grandson, 4 brothers & 4 sisters. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 4, 2013 from 4-8 pm at the Eastlund Funeral Home. Services will be Thursday, September 5, 2013 at 11 am at the Eastlund Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Byer Cemetery in Syracuse.
