Larura Coquillard
Laura Coquillard, 87, of Syracuse, passed away on September 12, 2026 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on September 22, 1938 to Edward & Geneva (Lindzy) Newcomer. She married George Coquillard II on March 3, 1961 who preceded her in 2003. She was the cook for many years at the Maple City Bowl in Goshen, as well as the Wawasee Bowl in Syracuse. She was formerly a member of Wawasee Heights Church, and more recently had been watching the Grace Community Church of Goshen online from home. Laura is survived by her 2 daughters – Sheryl (Rodney) Bartman. Tammy (Pete) Lopez. Son – George Coquillard III. 7 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. 1 sister – Patsy (Charles) Summerlot. 1 brother – Donald Newcomer. She was preceded by 2 sisters – Betty Cook, and Connie Newcomer. 4 brothers – Edward Newcomer Jr., Kenneth Newcomer, Floyd Newcomer, and Terry Newcomer. Services for Laura will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026 at Noon at Eastlund Funeral Home. Calling will be from 10-Noon. Burial will follow at the Syracuse Cemetery.
