Lee Sloan
Lee Sloan, 83, of Syracuse, passed away on May 8, 2026 at Goshen Hospital. He was born on July 30, 1942 in Warsaw, IN to Frederick & Lizzy (Burkholder) Sloan. He worked for Weatherhead, then retiring from Dana Corporation. On February 4, 1978 he married Violet Thompson who survives. He was the founder and first President of the Syracuse Eagles #3760. He was also a member of the Milford Masonic Lodge #418, and the Goshen Moose Lodge. Lee is survived by his wife Violet Sloan of Syracuse. 2 daughters – Amy Sloan of Syracuse, and LeeAnna (Eric) Wiggs of Pierceton. 9 grandchildren, 14 greatgrandchildren. Lifelong friend Jay (Sue) Hess. He was preceded by 1 daughter – Brenda Stover as well as 2 sisters – Carolyn Evans and Norma Sponseller. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 from 4-7 PM at the Eastlund Funeral Home. There will be a Masonic service at 7. Burial will be private.
