Margaret ‘Peg’ L. Lawrance

Margaret (Peg) L. Lawrance, 56, passed away January 25, 2011.
A native of Indianapolis, IN, she was born on April 29, 1954 to Walter and Patricia Davis. She attended Ladywood High School in Indianapolis before studying finance at Western Michigan University and Ball State University. She was employed early in her life in the banking industry. She moved with her family to North Webster, IN in 1981 where she spent 30 years managing the family business, Fisherman Cove Resort. Additionally, she was elected Clerk-Treasurer for the town of North Webster and held this position for 16 years. Later in her career, she worked as a Closing Agent for Center Title in Warsaw, IN.
Peg enjoyed traveling with her family and engaging in outdoor recreational activities. Some of her favorite memories included scuba diving vacations in Belize, the Bahamas, Jamaica, St. Thomas, and Fiji; snow skiing vacations at Steamboat Springs and Copper Mountain in Colorado; beach vacations in Siesta Key, FL; and lake activities on Lake Webster.
She was active in her community serving in a variety of capacities, most recently serving on the North Webster Community Center Development Board. In 2003, she and her husband were named the North Webster People of the Year.
Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Charles Lawrance of North Webster, IN, son Scott (Megan) Lawrance of Indianapolis, IN, son Kenneth (Kristine) Lawrance of Indianapolis, IN, parents Walter and Patricia Davis of Carmel, IN, sister Janet Espiritu of Indianapolis, IN, sister Christine (Robert) Davis of Columbus, OH, and brother Thomas Davis of Noblesville, IN. She was especially fond on her three grandchildren, Ethan Lawrance, Allison Lawrance, and Joshua Lawrance. She was preceded in death by her brother Mark Davis.
A viewing will be held at noon on Friday, January 28, 2011 in Syracuse, IN at the Eastlund Funeral Home 7458 East 1000 North with a memorial service at 2:00pm. On Saturday, January 29, 2011 a memorial service will be held in Indianapolis, IN at Crown Hill Cemetery 700 West 38th Street at 3:00pm.
