Marlene Andrews
Marlene Andrews, 79, of Syracuse passed away on May 11, 2015 at the Lakeland Rehabilitation Center in Milford. She was born on June 30, 1935 in Goshen, IN to Jacob & Cleo (Moist) Blackport. She grew up in Goshen and graduated in 1953 from Goshen High School. She went on to finish her college education in 1991 and graduated from Indiana University with her teaching degree. Marlene taught school at the Rocky Ridge Boarding school on the Navajo reservation in Kykotsmoui, AZ until 1995. She is survived by her 2 daughters – LeeAnn Andrews of Syracuse, and Kathleen Andrews of Milford. 1 son – Daniel (Kay) Andrews of Milford. 2 grandsons – Bradley (Lisa) Andrews of Almot, MI & Eric (Amber Achilles) Andrews of West Palm Beach, FL. 1 great-grandson – A.J Andrews. 1 stepdaughter – Vickie (Gary) McMaster of Goshen. 1 step grandson & 2 step great-grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents and her former husband Frank Andrews. There will be a memorial service on Sunday, May 17, 2015 at 3 pm at the Clearview United Brethren Church in Benton.
