Mary Opal Shock

Mary Opal Shock, 95, of Syracuse, IN passed away on October 28, 2012 at the IU Goshen Hospital.  She was born on September 16, 1917 in Utley, Ohio to George & Sarah (Carpenter) Clark.  She was married to Cecil Shock who preceded her in March of 1968.  She was a homemaker, residing in Syracuse, IN over 27 years coming from Ohio.  She was a longtime member of the Wawasee Baptist Church.  She is survived by her 3 daughters – Peggy Mount of Findlay, OH, Sharon Butler of Syracuse & Jamie Erb of Syracuse.  2 sons – Robert Shock of Parkersburg, WV & Jack Shock I of Ava, OH.  17 grandchildren, 27 greatgrandchildren & 6 greatgreatgrandchildren.  Many great nieces & nephews.  She was preceded by her husband & 2 brothers.  Friends may call on Thursday, November 1, 2012 from 5-8 pm at the Eastlund Funeral Home.  Services will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at the McVey-Perkins Funeral Home in Caldwell, OH at 1:00 pm.  There will be 1 hour of calling at the funeral home prior to the service.  Burial will follow at the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Parkersburg, WV.
