Perry Morton

Perry L. Morton, 63, of Warsaw died unexpectedly in his home at 6:45pm on January 6, 2012. He was born on February 12, 1948 in Marion to Sherrill and Delores Carlene (Miles) Morton. On September 1, 2005 he married Brenda (Snyder) Morton, who survives.
He graduated from Leesburg High School in 1966. He also received a degree from Purdue University in business.
In 1966 he hired in at RR Donnelley on an apprentiship as a roll tender. In the 70’s he decided to enter into the insurance business and begun working with Farm Bureau in Fort Wayne. He later opened his own agency Perry Morton & Assoc. and has run it successfully since 1978.
Perry was an avid sports fan. NASCAR was a sport he loved! Bench Rest rifle shooting was his passion. He held several national titles in the sport and at age 32 he was the youngest member ever to be inducted into the National Bench Rest Assoc. Hall of Fame. Hunting big game in Wyoming and Alaska was his favorite thing to do. He was passionate in wild life preservation. Parry was a member of American Legion Post 253, The Moose Lodge and Ducks Unlimited.
He has a zest for life and lived his life to the fullest. He worked hard and played harder. He was a kind and generous man and will always be remembered and loved by many.
Perry is survived by his wife Brenda Morton. Two children; Sherri Morton and Kerry Morton. Grandchildren, Elizabeth Brumblow, Marc Brumblow and Devan Morton. He was preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of a formal service the family will be having a celebration of Perry’s life at the American Legion Post 253 in North Webster on January 22, 2012 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers you bring happy memories, stories to share, and photos to his celebration. Memorial donations in memory of Perry may be made to the donor’s choice
