Richard “Dick” Vandiepenbos
Richard “Dick” VanDiepenbos, loving husband and father of 3 children, passed away at the age of 75. Dick was born on July 13, 1945 in Goshen, IN to Neil & Augusta (Holderman) VanDiepenbos. He retired from NIPSCO after 34 years of service. On May 27th, 1966 he married the love of his life Kathy Ritter. They raised 2 daughters Lori (Tom) Fultz, and Kristi Carter. 1 son Mike (Lisa) VanDiepenbos. Dick’s passion was baseball, fishing, and any sports. He was much admired by friends and family and will be dearly missed. Dick was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters Ruth Ann Grove and Nancy Summers. He is survived by his brother Tom (Edna) VanDiepenbos, his wife and 3 children. Grandchildren Travis (Ashley) Green, Robert Fultz, Ashley Chaney, Jada Carter, Alex Hogenboom, and Clayton VanDiepenbos. Several greatgrandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews also survive him. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Eastlund Funeral Home on Saturday, June 26, 2021 from 2-4 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Syracuse EMS or Elara Nurses of Fort Wayne.
