Richard “Ric” Workman

Richard “Ric” Workman, 63, of Syracuse, IN passed away on July 18, 2012 at the Elkhart General Hospital.  He was born on July 20, 1948 in Syracuse, IN to Dick & Donna (Galloway) Workman.  Ric was a very well known musician in the area having performed for over 4 decades.  He started off at an early age with his band the Tiki’s.  He also played in the 70’s with the Laketrash Band who later reformed and played  in the 2000’s.  He was most recently playing with the Gerri-Attrix Band.  Ric was known as the Kosciusko County’s King of Karaoke.  Ric was literally the hardest working musician around.  Ric had also been working at Daren Industries at the time of his passing.  Ric is survived by his wife – Ruth Ann Voorheis of Syracuse.  1 daughter – Amanda Workman-Bender of Elkhart.  2 sons – Garin Kirk Voorheis of Syracuse & Michael (Leslie) Voorheis of Nashville, TN.  2 grandcildren  – Brandin Bender & Brittan Bender.  His parents – Dick & Donna Workman of Syracuse.  2 brothers – Mark Workman of Barbee Lake & David Workman of Syracuse.  A celebration of Ric’s life will be held Sunday, July 22, 2012 at 6:00 PM at the Eastlund Funeral Home.  Friends may call from 3-6 PM at the funeral home prior to the service.
