Robert “Bullet Bob” Niles
Robert “Bullet Bob” Niles, 64, of Syracuse, IN passed away on January 25, 2014 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. He was born on September 10, 1949 in Goshen, IN to Butch & Vivian (Banghart) Niles. Bob was a Syracuse High School graduate. He also earned a degree in Electrical Engineering from Riddell College. On October 15, 1981 he married Julie Heil. Bob worked at Magnavox immediately following College, and retired from NIPSCO after 35 years of service as a lineman. Bob enjoyed camping, canoeing, fishing, boating, and his Strohs beer. He was a member of the North Webster American Legion and the Syracuse Eagles. He is survived by his wife – Julie Niles of Syracuse. 1 son – Troy Niles of Syracuse. 1 daughter – Tyson (Josh) Kauffman of Syracuse. 1 brother – Roger (Cindy) Niles of Syracuse. Services will be Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 4:00 PM at the Eastlund Funeral Home with calling from 2-4 prior to the service. Pastor Brad Cox will officiate the service.
