“Big Bob”
64 of Kimmell, formerly of Syracuse, passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Lutheran Hospital surrounded by his children and mother.
Bob was born September 13, 1954 in Goshen, Indiana to Perry and Litta (Hylton) Jones. He was a retired service contractor.
Bob was a fun loving jokester and a friend to all that knew him. He was a teddy bear at heart and generous to a fault, he would give you the shirt off of his back. He loved any type of hunting especially deer and mushroom, laughing and telling wild stories and spending time with family and friends. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Bob leaves behind his mother Litta Hylton, his son Robert “Little Bob” Jones, his daughter Sherrie Jones- Sisca and her husband Charlie, four grandchildren, Brittany and her husband Ricky, Tully, Blake, and Anthony. One great grandson Levi, several nieces and nephews and other dear relatives.
He also leaves behind his beloved dogs Jesus & Daisy and his foul mouth bird Outlaw.
He was preceded in death by his father Perry Jones, sister Pamela Jones- Poe and his beloved son Christopher.
Bob will be forever missed and never forgotten, he was a wonderful father, son, grandpa, uncle and friend. Our love for him will live on in our hearts and memories.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 14, 2019 from 6-8 PM at the Eastlund Funeral Home. Services will be on Friday, February 15, 2019 at 10 AM at the funeral home with burial at the Syracuse cemetery immediately following.
