Sharon K. Levernier-Bales

Sharon K. Levernier-Bales, 65, owner of Bales’ Butcher Shop in Syracuse, IN passed away peacefully at 11:30 p.m. October, 12, 2010, at Hospice House in Elkhart, IN with family by her side. She was born in Richland, Washington on April 12, 1945 to Paul and Pauline (deceased) Levernier. She graduated from Syracuse High School and attended Western Michigan University and International Business College in Fort Wayne. She was a lifelong resident of Syracuse where she worked for the former Liberty Homes and attorney Robert Reed. On July 16, 1983, she married Darrell Bales who preceded her in death August 21, 2008. She was a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church. Sharon is survived by her son, Christopher Bales of Syracuse; father, Paul Levernier of Syracuse; sister, Shirley Levernier (Larry) Halbach of Indianapolis; nephew, Timothy Halbach of Boston, Massachusetts; niece, Tiffany Halbach of Indianapolis; stepson, Dan (Becky) Bales of Goshen; stepdaughters, Marcy Ernest of Goshen and LuAnn (Gary) Hershberger of Millersburg; and four step grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 17, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at the Eastlund Funeral Home in Syracuse. Calling will be from 1 to 3 on Sunday prior to the Service. Burial will be private.
