Thomas E. List
Thomas E. List, 90, of North Webster, passed away November 22, 2010. He was born April 12, 1920 in Chicago, IL to Hans J. & Lucille (Prendergast) List. On November 8, 1947 he married Elizabeth Lauterbach who preceded him in 1977. Tom moved to the area in 1962 from Leyden, Massachusetts. He worked for Cardinal Center for 24 years retiring in 1996. He was a member of St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Syracuse. He was a Charter Member of Council 6323 and Past Grand Knight as well as a 4th Degree Member of Knights of Columbus. A US Navy Veteran, he was also a member of the North Webster American Legion.
He is survived by 1 Daughter – Mrs. Michael E. (Betsy) Hoffman of North Webster. 6 Sons – Thomas E. (Suzanne Statler) List of Port Costa, CA, J. Patrick (Candice) List of Hayesville, NC, Robert H. (Ida) List of Leesburg, IN, William “Bill” (Mary) List of Port Costa, CA, Dan J. (Stacy – deceased) List of Syracuse, and Adam M. (Liz) List of Syracuse. 17 Grandchildren, 7 Greatgrandchildren. 1 Sister – Mrs. John (Lucille Ann) Morris of Old Greenwich, Connecticut. 1 Brother – John P. List of Milford Connecticut. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty List, a sister Maggie Rogers. Calling will be Friday, November 26, 2010 from 4-8 PM at the Eastlund Funeral Home with a Rosary service at 7:30 PM. A Funeral Mass will be Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 10:00 AM at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Syracuse with Father Richard Hire officiating. Burial will follow at the McClintic Cemetery in Syracuse with Military Honors. Memorial Contributions may be made to the St. Martin de Porres Building Fund.
