Wayne Boggs
Wayne Boggs, 86, formerly of Syracuse, IN passed away February 17, 2011 at Lakeland Rehab in Milford. He was born October 22, 1924 in Warsaw, IN to Edward & Clara (Brandenberg) Boggs. On December 31, 1955 he married Delores Cole who preceded him on November 22, 2000. Wayne was a lifelong area resident. He worked for Weatherhead & Dana, retiring in 1987. He was a WWII US Army veteran. He was a lifetime member of the Syracuse VFW & American Legion. He was also a member of the Syracuse Eagles. He is survived by 2 Daughters – Mrs. Duane (Deb) Sparbel of Nappanee, Karen Caprio of Syracuse. 1 Son – Mike (Karen) Mishler of Nappanee. 6 Grandchildren. 1 Brother – Dale (Kathy) Boggs of Warsaw. He was preceded by his wife Delores, 1 Son Brad Mishler, 1 Brother – Harold Boggs & 1 Sister – Florence Plew.
Calling will be Friday, February 18, 2011 from 4-8 PM at the Eastlund Funeral Home. Services will be Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Eastlund Funeral Home with Pastor Norm Reimer of the Nappanee Missionary Church officiating. Burial will follow at the Syracuse cemetery with Military Honors. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Judes Childrens Hospital.
