Wayne Van Curen
Wayne Van Curen, 78, of Syracuse, passed away on July 10, 2026 at Majestic Care of Goshen. He was born on June 8, 1948 in Warsaw, IN to Duane & Virginia (Plonski) Van Curen. On August 2, 1982 he married Patti Vansickle who survives. Wayne was a lifelong musician, having entertained crowds for many years at all of the local establishments. He was the owner of the Frog Tavern from 1979-1992. He then owned and operated the Dewart Lake Inn from 1993-2006. After retiring from the restaurant/bar business, Wayne still continued to preform live music which was his passion. Along with his loving wife Patti, Wayne is also survived by his daughter – Kimberly Van Curen. Son – Matthew (Amy) Van Curen. Step daughter – Tami (Charles C.) Harris. Sister – Linda Darr. 2 grandsons – Victor and Xander Van Curen. He was preceded by his brother Steve Van Curen as well as his parents. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026 from 11-1 PM at Eastlund Funeral Home. Services will start at 1. Burial will follow at the McClintic Cemetery.
