Jamie Erb
Jamie Erb, 75, of Syracuse, IN, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 21, 2026 at Avalon Village in Ligonier. She was born on August 12, 1950 in Canton, Ohio to Cecil and Mary (Clark) Shock. She was a longtime employee of Kinro in Goshen and then at Wawasee Community School in the cafeteria before her retirement. Jamie treasured every minute she spent with her family – they were her everything that she took great pride in. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt who will be missed tremendously. She had a true love for animals, especially cats and dogs. It was her mission to make sure any stray cat outside got fed. She is survived by her son, Larry Erb of Syracuse, 2 daughters, Lisa (Rex) Briar of Syracuse, and Roxy (Jason) Parker of Cromwell. 7 grandchildren and 7 greatgrandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Peg Mount, of Findlay, Ohio, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents, 2 brothers, and 1 sister. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at South Shore Social from 1-3 PM. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to New Hope Pet Rescue. Eastlund Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
